PPL has been known as the most trusted logistics brand - for four successive years. Among other things, we are improving and expanding our shipping services, while keeping carbon neutrality one of our top priorities. In addition to our interest in a cleaner environment, we also fulfil requirements of our customers, who request goods from sustainable sources, including environmentally-friendly shipping.
"We care about the future of the Czech Republic and the quality of life of future generations here. That is why we are planning large-scale investments and development in the field of electromobility in the coming years," comments Petr Horák.
This is reflected in replacing our old vehicles with the latest models, meeting the strictest emission standards. Inter alia, there are more and more CNG and electrically-powered vehicles, as is also the case at one of our depots in Liberec. All these steps move us forward in our vision to have most of our vans emission-free by 2030.
We are also continuously expanding our couriers´ green fleet with e-bikes. Our bike shipping service in particular serves to deliver smaller consignments, thus making the work of van-driving couriers easier and more efficient. These of course have an easier access to such streets, where conventional vans would have difficulties, contributing further to reduce traffic, emissions, and noise.
We believe, and not only on our company level, that reducing carbon footprint in delivery of consignments can relieve the planet from harmful emissions. This belief is shared by both our employees as well as by our customers. However, this is just one aspect of our journey to full sustainability, and we strive to be environmentally-friendly in many other corporate projects, too.
